Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)This text complements the outstanding NYSORA website the authors have already developed. This is the best text on regional anaesthesiaI have ever seen. How is it different from all the rest.
1. It really makes a good attempt at removing the voodoo element from peripheral nerve blockade. The word 'pop' is never used.
2. They don't describe a list of approaches, only the one that is the most effective, reliable and easiest to teach.
3. Information is grouped into categories such as'surface landmarks' and 'block at a glance' for quick and easy reference.
4. Very nice colour illustrations/photos.
The only real criticism I would make is that there could be more devoted to disposable pumps and continuous peripheral nerve blocks at home, and possibly mention of the current role of ultrasound.
An excellent book for trainees and experts. I have looked through the other regional texts on sale at Amazon and in my opinion this is by far the best.
